More than a gym

Discovery Strength and Conditioning was built to bring coach-led functional fitness to Campbell River in a welcoming, community-minded environment. We are here for people who want more than access to equipment. They want guidance, accountability, and a clear path forward.

Our mission is simple: help people build strength for daily life so they can keep doing the activities they love for as long as possible. Every class is coach-led, every workout is scalable, and every member is met at their current level, whether they are brand new to training or ready for a new challenge.

We believe great coaching and a strong community change how people feel about fitness. When you train here, you are not left to figure it out on your own. You will learn to move well, get stronger, and build confidence one session at a time.

Functional Fitness Group Classes

Every class is coach-led, meaning a coach will guide you through the entire workout, teach movements, help with scaling options, and ensure you are moving safely and confidently.

We use Mayhem programming, one of the most respected functional fitness programs in the world, to provide structured, effective, and well-balanced workouts. Each day features a new workout that is the same across all class times, so whether you attend in the morning, afternoon, or evening, you'll be doing the same workout as the rest of the community that day.

Classes are designed for all fitness levels, and every workout can be modified to match your experience, abilities, and goals. Whether you are brand new to fitness or have years of training experience, our coaches will help you get the most out of every class.

LIFE (55+) Group Classes

LIFE Group Classes follow the same Mayhem programming and daily workouts as our Functional Fitness classes, but with a stronger focus on older adults and accommodating individual fitness levels, mobility, and comfort.

These coach-led classes help members build strength, improve balance and mobility, and stay active for everyday life. Every workout is fully scalable, and our coaches provide movement instruction, modifications, and guidance throughout each class to ensure members feel safe and confident.

Each day features a new workout that is the same across all class times, creating a shared community experience no matter when you attend. Whether you are new to exercise, returning after time away, or looking to stay strong and independent long term, LIFE classes are designed to help you move and feel better with confidence.
